Attorney Josh Bovender Wins 17-Minute Defense Verdict in York County Trial
May 13, 2021
TT&H Attorney Josh Bovender recently prevailed in a York County trial as Pennsylvania’s court systems continue to gradually re-open their civil jury programs. The case stemmed from a minor that was seriously injured at Dallastown High School in 2016 following a tragic gym class accident. Trial had been delayed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the parties’ closing arguments at trial, the jury deliberated for just 17 minutes before unanimously entering an award in favor of the defense. Josh’s client was exculpated from all liability in the case.
Following his victory, Attorney Bovender stated: “York is my hometown, and it is always a pleasure to serve before York’s judges and jurors. That courthouse holds a special place in my heart.” He added: “I believe Pennsylvania’s civil jury systems are shaking off the dust from the past year’s shutdown, and it’s an honor and a privilege to represent our clients before the Commonwealth’s jurors once again.”
