Catie is a partner in Thomas, Thomas, & Hafer’s Pittsburgh office, and has spent her entire legal career with the firm.
Catie has dedicated her practice to representing employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in a variety of workers’ compensation matters at both the trial and appellate levels. Catie has represented a wide array of clients ranging from multinational corporations to small, locally owned business, school districts, healthcare facilities, and municipalities. She also has experience handling general liability matters on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and insurers involving personal injury, premises liability, professional negligence, and other tort claims.
Catie also provides proactive counsel on risk reduction, management, and workplace safety, both in and out of litigation.
Catie was recognized as a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer – Rising Star” for five (5) consecutive years, which honors the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the Commonwealth under 40 based on peer recognition and professional achievement.
While in law school, Catie served as senior editor of the Law Review and received Certificates of Merit for the highest grade in Trial Skills, Evidence, and Scholarly Writing. She also participated in Moot Court competitions and completed a legal externship at an insurance defense firm in Erie, Pennsylvania. Catie graduated from law school with honors in the top 10% of her class.
Catie serves on the firm hiring committee and assists with the firm’s summer associate program.
