Ben is one of TT&H’s three managing partners and a member of its Executive Committee. He is based out of the firm’s Washington, DC office where he personally represents clients in a variety of high exposure, complex and/or sensitive disputes throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, while managing a team of over two dozen legal professionals who handle disputes of all types, shapes and sizes.
Ben is the former President and a current Board Member of the DC Defense Lawyers’ Association, which is the preeminent professional organization for defense lawyers in Washington, DC.
In 2022, the Defense Research Instituted awarded Ben an Exceptional Performance Citation “for having supported and improved the standards and education of the defense bar, and for having contributed to the improvement of the administration of justice in the public interest.”
Before joining the firm, Ben clerked for the Honorable Robert A. Zarnoch and the Honorable James R. Eyler on Maryland’s Court of Special Appeals.

Rouhi v. Kettler, 2020 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 111160 (D. Md. Jun. 24, 2020) aff’d by 2020 U.S. App. LEXIS 39960 (4th Cir. Dec. 21, 2020) (obtained dismissal of tenant’s lawsuit against property manager)
Nat’l Surety Corp. v. K&C Framing, Inc, 2018 Md. App. LEXIS 358 (April 17, 2018), cert. denied Nat’l Surety Corp. v. K&C Framing, 2018 LEXIS 485 (Md. Aug. 31, 2018) (obtained summary judgment on behalf of contractor in multi-million dollar construction defect case)
All Class Construction, LLC v. Mutual Benefit Insurance Company, 3 F. Supp. 3d 409 (D. Md. 2014) (obtained dismissal in insurance coverage and lack of good faith case)
Katopothis v. Windsor-Mount Joy Mutual Ins. Co., 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 205717 (D.D.C. Nov. 12, 2014), 211 F. Supp. 3d 1 (D.D.C. 2016) eventually aff’d through 95 F.3d 661 (D.C. Cir. 2018), 897 F.3d 291 (D.C. Cir. 2018), and 2018 U.S. App. LEXIS 23795 (D.C. Cir. Aug 16, 2018) (obtained summary judgment for insurer in insurance coverage case)
