John T. Morgan Jr.

John T. Morgan, Jr. is a partner in Thomas, Thomas & Hafer’s Philadelphia office and a member of the firm’s workers’ compensation practice group.  Before joining the firm, John clerked for the Honorable Janet Z. Smith in the Superior Court of New Jersey – Law Division, Burlington County, where he gained valuable experience in a variety of civil matters. John earned his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, graduating with honors. During law school, John excelled in legal writing and advocacy as a staff writer for Volume 64 of the Villanova Law Review, a quarterfinalist and “Best Brief” winner of the 58^th annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition, and a member of Villanova’s National Competitive Trial Team.

John has dedicated his entire legal practice to representing insurance carriers and employers in workers’ compensation claims across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has successfully litigated a wide variety of orthopedic, mental, and occupational exposure cases before workers’ compensation judges across both jurisdictions, the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board, and the Commonwealth Cour of Pennsylvania. John’s aggressive and persuasive legal writing abilities in particular have contributed significantly to numerous successful outcomes at both the trial and appellate level.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and dog, lifting weights, boxing, music, reading, and traveling.
