Matt joined the firm in 2012 as a law clerk while completing his schooling at the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law. He concentrates his practice in civil rights litigation, labor and employment law, general civil litigation, and insurance coverage.
During law school, Matt completed a legal internship with the Honorable William H. Wiest of the Northumberland County Court of Common Pleas. Matt also completed a legal externship with the Honorable Yvette Kane of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Matt’s experience working in both the federal and state court systems allowed him to gain a practical understanding of the substantive and procedural issues of Pennsylvania and federal law.
As a law student, Matt was an active member of his school’s Appellate Moot Court Board. Matt competed in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition in 2012 and coached his school’s team in 2013. Matt also served as the Moot Court Board’s vice-chairman for recruitment in 2013.
Matt graduated cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 2013. While in law school, Matt was inducted into the Woolsack Honor Society. Matt obtained his undergraduate degree in political science and public policy from The George Washington University, graduating magna cum laude in 2010.
In 2017, Matt was one of just two attorneys in the state to be named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in the area of civil rights litigation.
