Thomas, Thomas & Hafer Welcomes Lily S. Smith to its Fairfax, VA Office

Thomas, Thomas & Hafer is pleased to announce that Lily S. Smith has joined the firm as an associate in the Fairfax, VA office, where she is also a member of TT&H’s general liability practice group.  Lily is a graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor of the University of Richmond Law Review.  During her 2021 spring law school semester, Lily was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Products Liability.  After graduating from law school, Lily served as a law clerk for both The Honorable Brett A. Kassabian and The Honorable Michael F. Devine, in the Fairfax County Circuit Court in Fairfax, VA.  Lily is a member of the Fairfax County Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section.  Prior to law school, Lily attended Fordham University, graduating with a B.A. in social work.

Lacey Conn, who leads the Fairfax, VA office, commented on Lily’s addition to the firm, stating: “TT&H is excited to welcome Lily Smith as an associate.  Lily brings the unique experience of having clerked for two different judges in the Fairfax Circuit Court, where she spent two years learning how to argue motions and try a case, and, more importantly, how not to do so.  During her two clerkships, Lily also honed her legal writing skills and can persuasively argue for her clients on brief as a result.  Lily is a fantastic addition to TT&H.”
