Thomas, Thomas & Hafer Welcomes Matthew E. Ainsley to its Washington, D.C. Office
January 07, 2022
Having successfully completed the Washington, D.C. bar exam, Thomas, Thomas & Hafer (“TTH”) is pleased to announce that Matthew E. Ainsley has joined the general liability practice group in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
Though new to the practice of law, Matt joins the firm with prior experience in the field of law and government. He served as an intern for the Supreme Court of the United States, and was an intern with the New York State Office of the Attorney General, both positions having been held prior to starting law school. Thereafter, while in law school, Matt held several positions with the federal government, including working as a summer law clerk for two different United States Attorney’s Offices. More recently, he served as a law clerk for the Committee on Ways and Means in the U.S. House of Representatives, a position he held for four consecutive semesters. Matt also sent some time working for a lobbying firm prior to joining TTH. In addition to the aforementioned positions, while in law school, Matt also competed as a member of the Moot Court Board and served as an editor on the Journal of Law, Economics & Policy.
Ben Peoples, who leads the firm’s D.C. office, has this to say about Matt’s addition to TTH: “Our firm’s work in the DC Metro area has continuously grown since we opened an office here five and a half years ago. This growth is a testament to the high quality of service and results that we provide. We added Matt in response to that growth, and we are excited that he has joined us. We look forward to supporting Matt as he launches his legal career and puts the skills that he developed in law school to work on behalf of our clients.”
