TT&H Attorney Nick Phillips Begins New Term in MDC Leadership

Nick Phillips, a partner in TT&H’s Fairfax, VA office, recently began a new term as the Chair of Maryland Defense Counsel’s (“MDC”) Publications Committee.  MDC is a professional organization for defense attorneys in Maryland that endeavors to attain equal justice for all, improve Maryland’s courts and laws, and strengthen the defense of civil lawsuits through political activism, judicial candidate interviews, and educational conferences.  As Chair of the Publications Committee, Nick will be responsible for publishing The Defense Line, which is MDC’s periodical containing educational articles and industry news.

Nick was a Co-Chair of the Publications Committee last year.  Ben Peoples, one of TT&H’s three managing partners, commented: “Our firm has a strong tradition of being leaders of the defense bar.  We are glad to see that Nick is carrying on that tradition, and we wish him the best of luck in his role.”  Four TT&H attorneys are former presidents of state and local defense organizations, like MDC, and numerous TT&H lawyers currently serve in leadership positions at such organizations.

Nick obtained his undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University, and his law degree from University of Baltimore, before clerking for two judges on the Circuit Court of Maryland for Baltimore City.  While in law school, Nick was the Manuscripts Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Forum.
