TT&H Attorneys Rebecca Sember Izsak and Brook Dirlam Win Summary Judgment in Case Against Retailer

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania has granted a Motion for Summary Judgment prepared by Rebecca Sember Izsak and Brook Dirlam.  The two TT&H attorneys represented a large retailer who was sued after a customer asserted that he was caused to slip and fall in the vestibule due to snow that had entered the store as a result of a malfunctioning door being stuck in the open position.  Rebecca and Brook won a dismissal of the suit on summary judgment by persuading the Court that, as a matter of law, there was insufficient time to provide notice to the store of either the malfunctioning door or the alleged presence of snow in the interior.
