November 17, 2022
Thomas, Thomas & Hafer’s Washington, DC office recently participated in a food drive benefiting the DC Capital Area Food Bank, an organization that provides 30 million meals to almost half a million people every year, while also working to address the root causes of hunger through educational programs and service projects. The DC Defense Lawyers’ Association (“DCDLA”) organized the food drive as part of the Defense Research Institute’s (“DRI”) “International Day of Service.” In addition to donating a box full of non-perishable items for the food drive, TT&H’s DC office also served as a central collection point for food donated by other participating firms. Attorney Nick Schaufelberger organized and coordinated TT&H’s role in the project. Ben Peoples, one of TT&H’s three managing partners and the leader of the DC office, commented: “In addition to results, we value service, which includes service to our communities. We are proud to have served the DC community by participating in this project and taking a leadership role in it.”
For over 30 years, the DCDLA has been the premier professional organization for civil defense lawyers in the District of Columbia. The DCDLA is a State and Local Defense Organization for DRI. DRI is the largest international membership organization of attorneys defending the interests of businesses and individuals in civil litigation.
TT&H is a 45-year-old civil defense firm with over 90 lawyers in 12 offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
