Harrisburg, PA and Baltimore, MD – January 2, 2019 – Thomas, Thomas & Hafer is pleased to announce the promotion of four of our attorneys as partners with the firm.
Promoted are:
Carrie E. Hyams – focusing her statewide practice on workers compensation defense, medical malpractice defense, contract law, and creditor rights law. She has dedicated her legal career to protecting working people and business owners from harmful litigation. Carrie has tried numerous civil court cases, representing healthcare professionals including physicians and dentists, as well as a governmental agency. Carrie is a graduate of Widener University School of Law, J.D., cum laude.
S. Joseph Cardile – Joe represents businesses and individuals in litigation and arbitration arising out of product defects, fires, construction defects, contractual issues, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability. Joe also counsels and represents Homeowners’ Associations in a variety of matters, including advice on day-to-day operations and litigation and advises insurers in their handling of first-party property losses and insurance fraud investigations. Joe is a graduate of The University of Baltimore School of Law, J.D.
Matthew R. Clayberger – Matt concentrates his practice in civil rights litigation, general civil litigation, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation. Matt has substantial experience practicing before the state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, including a significant amount of experience in appellate litigation. Matt is an honors graduate of both The George Washington University and The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law.
John A. Lucy – John concentrates his practice in the areas of Healthcare & Professional Licensure, Medical Malpractice Defense and Governmental Entity & Civil Rights litigation. He has represented clients in state, federal, and appellate courts as well as before mediators and arbitrators. John is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, J.D.
